Jesus speaks about tragic events and reminds His listeners that suffering in the world is not always a punishment for personal sin. Instead, He calls everyone to examine their own hearts and turn back to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lent is therefore not simply about external practices such as fasting or abstinence. It is a <strong>spiritual return to God<\/strong>, a renewal of our relationship with Him through repentance and grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Call to Conversion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Catechism teaches that repentance is central to Christian life:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cJesus\u2019 call to conversion and penance\u2026 does not aim first at outward works but at the conversion of the heart.\u201d<\/em><br>\u2014 Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1430<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>True repentance begins in the heart. The tree is given another chance to bear fruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This parable reminds us that God is patient and merciful.
